How to Cook Perfect Rice in Pressure Cooker | బియ్యం, అన్నము | चावल
- Preparation time: 35 minutes
- Cooking time: 30 minutes
- Serves: 1
- Dish: Vegetarian
Recipe steps:
- Rinse 1 Cup Normal Rice (~ 150 grams, like Sona Masuri) 2-3 times in tap water.
- Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
- Add 1 Cup Rice with 2 Cups Water for 1 person.
- Increase quantity in 1:2 ratio to serve more people.
- (Optional) Add water to the pressure cooker if you use a separate bowl for rice in the cooker.
- Place Rice bowl in the cooker and close it.
- Cook on low flame for about 20 minutes. No whistles necessary for the perfect rice.
Note: If you are in a hurry, rinse rice and cook in full flame for 3 cooker whistles. It takes about 20 minutes.
